NEW BOARD ELECTED FOR PA STATE ASSOCIATION OF COUNTY CONTROLLERS
At the end of July, the Pennsylvania State Association of County Controllers elected its new Executive Committee at the Association’s Annual Meeting.
Members from Counties represented elected Jason Moser, Centre, as President; Joe Rudderow, Berks, as First Vice President; Maria Longo, Beaver, as Second Vice President; Heather Sheatler, Washington, as Third Vice President; A.C. Stickel, Blair, as Secretary; and Mary Bateman, Dauphin, as Treasurer. Immediate Past President, Greg Bower, York, will continue to serve on the Executive Committee as well.
“Thank you to my PSACC colleagues for your trust and confidence. I am humbled and grateful to assume this role,” Moser said. “The work that we do is often behind the scenes but for the public good. I hope during my tenure to highlight some of the important work that we all do across Pennsylvania.”
The Executive Committee of the Association meets to develop the educational and legislative priorities for the Association based on direction from the membership.
Newly elected Second Vice President, Maria Longo, thanked the membership, “for the privilege to serve on the Executive Committee. PSACC is a wonderful Association that provides essential resources and networking to help Controllers’ and their staff do their jobs better. By serving on the committee, I am able to give back to the Association and help continue its great work.”
Controller Sheatler, from Washington County and a new member to the Committee, added, “I am honored to have been elected as third Vice President of PSACC. Thank you to my fellow controllers for your trust and confidence. I look forward to working with colleagues across the Commonwealth to promote accountability, transparency, and excellence in county government.”
The Pennsylvania State Association of County Controllers was created under Pennsylvania state statute, Act 129 of 1919, though the first meeting of County Controllers for discussion of related issues was held in 1914. It consists of elected Controllers, Deputies, Internal Auditors, and Solicitors
